Who we are

Our House is here to revolutionise community space.

People need places to go and connect that are non-transactional and multi-purpose. A place to feel at home, relax, create, work, socialise, grow, find nourishment, hold events and more. The possibilities are endless as this is a space that responds to the needs of the community.

The first Our House is centered around young families and is located on Hinemoa Street in Birkenhead on Auckland’s North Shore. Family centric and designed as a home away from home, it is a place full of spaces, rooms, items and resources to drop in, catch up or hang out. We aim to develop wellbeing in the community using this model and provide a space for people to chill and connect.

Model based on Sir Mason Durie, a Māori worldview. It likens well-being to the four walls of a whare (house), where each wall represents a crucial aspect of health and wellbeing.
